TRANSLATING DOCUMENTS

In terms of conducting administrative proceedings concerning Polish citizenship it is necessary to provide numerous documents. If these documents are written in a foreign language then they must be translated into Polish.

The translation must be sworn which means that it must be prepared by a sworn translator from the list of the Minister of Justice:

The sworn translations may also be prepared by a consul or translators not included on the list (but in that case they have to be certified by the Polish consul).

The Office works with sworn translators of English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Hebrew, German, Russian, and Ukrainian. We can also handle orders of translating other languages. The office does not charge an additional fee for translating documents necessary in terms of the handled case - only the translation costs have to be covered.
