Every person who feels a victim of mobbing , that is, behavior that constitutes a long-lasting and onerous persecution by colleagues or superiors, has the opportunity to apply for protection of their rights – this also applies to those who work in environments not usually associated with this type of practice.Nowadays, mobbing is more and more often not only in professions with which it is habitually associated (eg among employees of large corporations or people performing simple, undemanding work) and its symptoms can be found in virtually every industry. According to recent reports, mobbing is also present at universities – its victims are young researchers as well as professors with many years of experience. The most common types of such practices include, among others unannounced pick-up of classes or change of their schedule, commissioning ungrateful or time-consuming jobs or hindering the development of a scientific career.
